Delete your account

You can delete your Hi Chat account and the data linked to it at any time, either in the app or by email.

Delete in the app

  1. Open Hi Chat
  2. Go to Profile → Settings
  3. Tap Delete account

You receive an email confirming your request.

Delete by email

Send a deletion request to [email protected] from the email address linked to your account.

What is deleted

  • Your account and account data: Google account ID, email address, name, profile picture URL
  • Your posts and photos
  • Your chats
  • Your reactions

When it is deleted

Your account is scheduled for deletion and permanently removed after 30 days.

Changed your mind? Logging in during those 30 days cancels the request.

What may be kept for a limited time

  • Reports and content blocked by moderation: up to 90 days, for safety review
  • Server logs: up to 30 days

Deleting single posts or chats

You do not need to delete your account to remove individual posts or chats. You can delete them in the app at any time.
